Facial hair in women is usually labeled as a confidence thief. Some of the treatments to facial hair removal are laser hair removal, which is costly and promises to remove hair permanently but only to certain skin and hair types. Another method is electrolysis, which destroys hair follicle and is still expensive since it requires more than one visit. Depilatory creams are also another option but can be problematic when used on the face since it can irritate skin. Hence the urgent need for natural female facial hair removal.
Natural Solutions
The first and easiest solution of removing unwanted facial hair naturally is shaving, however it only works temporarily. Another natural option is trying out spearmint tea, which is known for its effect on reducing the levels of testosterone in women. Studies show that testosterone promotes facial hair on women and with the aid of the tea, it can be significantly lowered and in turn, lessen the occurrence of facial hair. To make all-natural spearmint tea, steep 1 heating teaspoon of dried spearmint in 1 cup of boiling water. Drink one to two cups daily. The tea works out if the cause for the excess hair is high levels of testosterone. Another natural method of reducing the appearance of unwanted facial hair is bleaching. Bleaching creams can be bought in any supermarket and you can use one with an activator and it can be applied facial hair. Do not apply near the eyebrows or areas near the eyes since it can cause blindness. Try a 24 hour test patch first to make sure that the product will not irritate your skin. Lemon makes natural bleach. Apply lemon with an equal amount of honey and leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes. Do this everyday to achieve visible results. If used weekly, the hair tends to become fragile and will start to break off. Facial sugaring or applying sugar on your face is also one natural method. You can make a home made sugar method with these steps. Mix ¼ cup of water, 2 cups sugar, and ¼ cup lemon juice in a pan and heat on medium heat until it bubbles up into a smooth consistency. Let it warm. During application, dust hair with cornstarch then spread a thin layer of the sugaring solution consistent with the direction of the hair growth. Then press 1 to ¼ inch of wide cotton cloth strips, rub your hand on the strip and wait. When the solution cools down and hardens, pull it away immediately in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Repeat it 2-3 times. Sure it is as painful as waxing but the effects are not only lesser hair but also soft, smooth, and moisturized skin. You can also purchase a ready made option for the method. One recommended product is MOOM Organic Hair Removal Kit.
Be reminded to take extra safety precautions when choosing to use creams and facial products to try out in a sensitive part of your skin like the skin on your wrist. If redness, swelling or discomfort occurs, do not use the product. On the other hand, it is always advisable to use all natural facial hair removal method to avoid skin irritations that might just worsen the problem.
